I'm Matt. I build Shopify apps — including my own.

CartStack is a one-person studio. There's no "we" — it's me, working from the UK, taking on a small number of projects at a time so I can give each one proper attention.

My background is full-stack development with a long bias towards commerce. I've spent most of the last decade either inside e-commerce teams or helping merchants build the things their off-the-shelf apps couldn't.

The wedge is straightforward: I build my own apps as well as client work, which means I know what's painful from both sides. The reasons "support tickets pile up", "App Store reviews bite", and "the merchant just wants the thing to work" aren't theoretical to me — they're my Tuesday.

When a client asks "can this also do X?", I'm usually not guessing. I've had the customer email about it, written the migration, or hit the limit Shopify quietly imposes on it. That experience is the thing you're hiring.
